Sitka Whalefest was created to connect scientists and the public. One of the best ways we know of to acheive this goal is through educational opportunities for students of all ages. Meeting professional scientists in and outside of the classroom plants the seed of inquiry and exploration in the next generation of Sitka scientists. Sitka's science legacy is embraced through the following Sitka Sound Science Center programs at Sitka Whalefest.

FOOD WEB CRUISE

Thank you to everyone that came out for the Sitka WhaleFest Food Web Cruise! We had a wonderful morning eating delicious food, learning new things from local scientist/naturalist and saw about 25 whales!!! Thank you to everyone that helped make it happen, the scientists and to those that came out with us on such a beautiful day! We look forward to seeing everyone in November for Sitka WhaleFest 2013, October 31st – November 3rd.
